Parents and Children Read Together

Excellent Kick off to the First Ever 4th & 5th Grade Parent-Child Book Club!

Thanks to LSPA for organizing the sixteen 4th & 5th graders who brought their parents back to school for a potluck dinner, tasty desserts and wonderful discussion about Wilson Rawl's classic, Where the Red Fern Grows.

November 16th was a wonderful night of connection and sharing. It was great to hear how many families enjoyed carving out time in their busy lives to read with their child and share the range of emotions and adventure Billy and his dogs went through in this terrific book.

Be on the Look out for our next invitation in a Lincletter in early February!

Thank you to the many, many students and family members who walked to school on Tuesday, November 15 !!!  Students signed our Green banner and received stickers for their terrific efforts!

Happy Thanksgiving!

November News and Events

News from Commissioner Mitchell Chester & the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education

"I know that most of you were tuned in to yesterday's vote including the presidential election as well as the Massachusetts ballot initiatives. I realize that question two, the charter school cap initiative, is one that many individuals, families, and Educators were advocating for on one side or the other.
On this day after the election I would like to share my thoughts with you through a video message. I encourage you to share the video with all of your educators, parents, and the community. The video message can be found on our website at: www.doe.mass.edu. The video transcript is also attached for distribution.

It takes all of us, families and educators working together, to create and maintain high-quality classrooms and schools, and I look forward to continuing to work with you. I know that the Commonwealth’s educators are committed to doing what's necessary to provide each and every student in Massachusetts with a world-class education; you have my commitment as well."

Sincerely,

Mitchell D. Chester
Commissioner

Veteran's Day

Lincoln Parent and Veteran, Mr. McCarthy, visited Ms. Nagle's first grade classroom today (Kendall McCarthy's dad)  and spoke about his military experiences with the children.  He served in the Army and works currently in the National Guard.

Thank you to all of our Veterans for the dedication, sacrifices, and service to our country!
