Greetings on Wednesday, March 25, 2020

Wednesday, March 25, 2020.

Dear Lincoln Families,

A Letter from Winchester Public School  School Nurses:

Dear Preschool and Elementary Families,

First let us begin by telling all of you how much we miss seeing you every day!  We hope you are all getting enough rest, exercise, eating well and staying connected with friends, family and teachers.

Children often look to adults for guidance on how to react to stressful events; if parents are overly worried, children’s anxiety may rise. Parents can reassure children that health and school officials are working hard to ensure that people throughout the country stay healthy.

Children also need factual, age appropriate information about the seriousness of disease risk and concrete instruction about how to avoid infections and spread of disease.

Some helpful guidelines:
● As best you can, try to remain calm and reassuring
● Make yourself available to support your children
● Monitor content of television viewing and social media
● Maintain a normal routine to the extent possible
● Be honest and accurate ● Never hesitate to contact your Child’s PCP, Board of Health, or School Nurses with questions or concerns

We are providing the most useful resources all in one location:
● CDC Disinfecting surfaces - COVID-19: Resources for Households
● Covid -19 symptoms: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) | CDC
