The Hour Of  Code.  What Is It?  Read On and Find Out!
Dear parents,

Your child participated in the Hour of Code this week! "The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody [even pre-readers] can learn the basics" says Code.org. The free tutorials can help kids learn skills in math, logic, sequencing, geometry, spacial reasoning, problem solving, art, storytelling, and more. Most importantly, your kids will love it!

Here's what to do:
  1. Check out the free tutorials at code.org/learn (no account required). There are dozens of modules to try.
  2. Want more? Sign up for a free account at studio.code.org and take the 4 free courses (ages 4 and up).
It's hard to find an industry that isn't being changed by technologies that run code. So go to code.org/learn and get your kids coding today!

Look What Is Happening In Kindergarten!
We had a great time today celebrating the end of Super Hero Vowel Week and our Super Writing! The students worked hard to practice reading their teaching books independently and we then shared them with our peers, listening respectfully and gave compliments to each other. We are proud of our hard work and we are...SUPER READERS AND WRITERS!
Be sure to read our newsletter today there is lots of important info and have a fantastic weekend!
