Take a Look at Science

STEAM at Lincoln School
Science, Music, Engineering, and Fun!

Full STEAM ahead is coming up - and that means music is in the air - and science too! Third Grade Lincoln Students explored the science of musical instruments through “Soundscience Fun!”, an interactive program designed by Dr. Meredith Thompson, Research Scientist at MIT, Acoustic Musician, and Mother of Zak Knight.

Meredith visited Lincoln on January 21st and February 8th so all third grade students could see the show, try out instruments, and build their own "milk shake straw" pan flutes to bring home.

Meredith offered to share her time and enthusiasm in advance of Full STEAM Ahead, Lincoln’s annual Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics event.

Full STEAM Ahead takes place in the Lincoln Gym on Thursday, March 9th from 6:30 PM -8:00 PM.

Come and celebrate curiosity, creativity, and innovation at this free and interactive event! Thanks to the LSPA for their sponsorship of this event, and for Lincoln for hosting the event, and the STEAM Team of parent volunteers for putting this together.
