STEAM NIGHT WAS WONDERFUL!!!!

Thank you to Meredith Thompson Knight and the many other parent volunteers, students, and other community members who worked diligently to make this evening such a success.  If you weren't able to attend, please take a look at the photos below which were taken throughout the night. I hope they capture and convey the innovative learning stations, creativity, and fun had by all!

BECAUSE NICE MATTERS!

All  School Assembly was held on Tuesday, February 9,  from 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM.
The theme of the All School Assembly this month was on Acts Of Kindness.  We had a special reader,  Ms. Samson dressed up as Mrs. Ruler to read the book, Kindness Is Cooler Mrs. Ruler, by Margery Cuyler. We also discussed different acts of kindness.  Several fifth grade students also showed their kindness posters they made earlier this fall while participating in the GURO program.

Students and staff were provided with heart shaped pieces of paper to write down 2 Acts of Kindness he/she will perform, one at home and one in school.  We will be displaying these Acts of Kindness throughout Lincoln School.  Please come to see Everyone's Acts Of Kindness.

Literacy in Kindergarten

Technology Learning Activity in Ms. Cirame's Kindergarten
They read It's Okay to be Different by Todd Parr. The students then came up with their own pages to add to the book. They really came up with some great ideas and all on their own!  They created their pages using a paint program on the computer, after learning to navigate and use the mouse with the help of Mr. Bellenoit. They then added their voices to their art by using an App on the iPad called, Explain Everything.
