MLK Day Celebration 2019: Please Share Your Art (e.g. pictures, collages, video of singing, poems, etc.,)
The Winchester Multicultural Network(WMCN)'s annual celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday will be Monday, January 2l, 2019 from 3-5:00 p.m. in Metcalf Hall at the Unitarian Church. We are pleased that the Family Action Network (FAN) is again co-sponsoring the event, and we expect a large crowd of families and youngsters.
As in the past, we plan to display a wide range of student artwork commemorating the holiday, and we hope you and your students will enjoy contributing to this effort!
If there is anything you would like to have displayed at the event, please leave it in the school office by the end of the school day on Thursday, January 17 and one of our volunteers will pick it up around noon on Friday, January 18.  If by any chance there is a snowstorm predicted, we'll come by for pick-up on Thursday the 18th.

Please be sure to label each item with your name, grade, and the name of the school so we can be sure to get it back to you.
If you have students' work on display, you may want to inform the class and/or parents.  There will be a notice in the school newsletter about the event, which will feature a performer, snacks and cookies, the display of their art, and craft activities.

Please feel free to call Phil Coonley at 781-729-6787 or email office@wmcn.org or coonley@me.com if you have any questions.
Many thanks!
